White Chapel is a deconsecrated church. It is non-denominational and therefore open to everyone. For the more traditional Christenings and Baptisms, couples are able to bring their own Minister, Pastor or Priest to the Chapel to host the ceremony and appoint the baby’s guardians or godparents for their baby.
If you prefer a non-religious alternative, then you may choose to celebrate the joy of welcoming a new life into the world, with a special ‘Naming’ ceremony.
These are normally performed with a celebrant, for people of all age groups, from new-born babies to adolescents and beyond.
Because a ‘Naming’ ceremony is a non-religious event, the child involved in this celebration, is then ultimately able to choose their own beliefs in regards to religion, once they are mature enough to do so.
Every one of these types of ‘Naming’ ceremonies is different in order to meet the needs of individuals and their families. There are no legal requirements required with these very intimate celebrations.
